How and when did you first find out about your "psychic abilities"?
1967, when I was in the service. I saw things that were more frightening than anything else. I was very uncomfortable with it and did my best to put it to bed for awhile. Didn't want it, didn't need it, didn't even like it.
How was it growing up with these special gifts?
I didn't grow up with them so I cannot say. In the Eighties, however, I did start reading about these kinds of phenomena. Outside of learning how to read cards I couldn't say how much I 'developed' them. I am a terrible judge of myself and my own skills.
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
Sort of. I think that most people have a natural intuition that all too often they choose to ignore if it gets in the way of what they want at the time. It's too bad, really, cause this ain't a dress rehearsal for life. This is it! Right now, at this moment, 12:25 P.M., March 22nd, 2008 (CST) is the only 12:25 P.M., March 22nd, 2008 (CST) they will ever have. What they do with it could affect the rest of their lives. I will add one more addendum to that question. I have a nephew who has serious down syndrome. I was visiting them about 5 or 6 years ago. He asked me how it went at the bank that day. Well, since the invention of the ATM I hardly ever go to the bank. That day I did because of some situation that I have since forgotten. I didn't tell anyone that I had gone to the bank; so where did that little gem of a question come from?
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these talents?
Open.
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'?
Again, sort of. My intuition about people is pretty much always 'on'. I try to pay attention to it. In terms of readings I simply open myself to the person I am speaking with.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
Almost accidentally. I was talked into giving readings at events, and have been doing them since then.
What happens during a psychic reading?
Different things. Sometimes visions, occasionally voices, usually just a sense or feeling about who I am talking to and the person, people or situations they are asking about. And sometimes nothing at all happens, meaning I cannot get any information at all.
What is your primary tool for divination?
Clairvoyance. My primary tool is my brain.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
I don't think so. Not on command, I know that. I have been told that I can channel some English guy that died in Africa in the mid 1800's. I remember nothing about it and can't comment on it one way or the other.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
Don't be angry when you call. I can't think of any other one thing that will get in the way of a decent reading than anger. And don't forget to count your blessings. Sometimes they're difficult to find. But they're there.
