How and when did you first find out about your 'psychic abilities'?
I was about six. Of course at that age I thought I was strange and just kept my psychic abilities bottled up. Anyone who is psychic will tell you that you can't keep them bottled up for long. They come out even stronger.
How was it growing up with these special skills. Are they natural talents or did you study and develop them?
It was a bit scary when I was very young because I felt different from others. As a teenager I tried to understand that I had abilities that no one else had. Most of my gift was natural but what I didn't understand I sought out others for guidance.
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
I think that everyone has some type of intuition. Some people can develop it. People really need to be honest with themselves when it comes to this skill.
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these skills?
You have to have a very open mind and not be afraid of what will happen. You have to have a lot of patience. It can be a long and difficult process.
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'.
No, I can't turn them 'on' or 'off. It is something that just happens. Some people are easier to read than others. Some people are more open than others. There is only one ritual I have when I am having a hard time connecting with someone over the phone; I close my eyes, put my hands in warm water and focus on their voice.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
I had an aunt that I was very close to when I was small. She also had these abilities. She knew I had the same gift but never said anything to me until years later. She pretty much waited until I started asking questions about some of the things that were happening to me. She was pretty well known and I started doing readings with her. I guess I was like her little sidekick.
What happens during a psychic reading?
All readings are different because all people are different. Some things come through stronger than other things. I always try to focus on the positive and try to block out the negative. Some words that come out of my mouth are very strange to me but I say it anyway because it makes sense to the client for whom I am reading. I try not to hold anything back.
What is your primary tool for divination? What is your specialty?
My primary tool is the energy that is around the person that I am reading. Their state of mind is very important at the time I am reading them. I also use Tarot cards for verification and enhancement for some readings.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
I can communicate with spirits sometimes. It is not something to turn 'on' and 'off'. When I am doing a reading and someone comes through who has crossed over, usually there is a specific reason they are presenting themselves to me.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
I am glad that in today's world people are accepting these abilities that readers have. Years ago we were outcasts and not accepted. I tell every one to have an open mind. I have had so many wonderful experiences in helping people. It is truly fulfilling.
