Ever wanted to meet your favorite advisor? Get to know her or him a bit better? From time to time we will bring you interviews with PsychicCenter advisors. Here is where you can read how they found out what special gifts they have, how they developed their skills, and why we think they are so good at guiding us on our life path. If this interview inspires you, just give them a call.
How and when did you first find out about your 'psychic abilities'?
I was very young, age four or five. It was then I knew I was different. I would see and hear spirits talking to me, and I 'felt' energies from family members and playmates. At times this was alarming because I was so young, and my family didn't understand, so I became a loner.
How was it growing up with these special skills. Are they natural talents or did you study and develop them?
I felt as if I didn't belong on this planet! I always felt different from the rest. I mostly kept to myself and remained apart from the rest of the world. My abilities were natural and as I grew up I was pulled toward metaphysical studies. I took some classes, but mostly I read books and studied by myself.
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
Yes, we all have that ability. It is our sixth sense. We were all born with it. The problem is that our society has taught us to disregard our intuitions. The word 'occult' has acquired a bad reputation. The word simply means those things that are hidden within the psychic subconscious.
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these skills?
All anyone needs to begin this journey is an open heart and mind, and to believe in yourself and believe in the impressions and information received. I tell my Tarot students to disregard the book that comes with the cards, and allow the cards to speak through subconscious intuition. Anything we use is only a tool to develop this long lost ability.
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'.
Once I became psychically aware, I found it difficult to turn this ability off. What I learned was discernment instead of shutting down. I use prayer every day, confident that I will be protected. I allow myself to remain open to a higher will when dealing with others.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
I began reading for friends and family. I began getting referrals from friends, and it was then that I began charging for readings to honor my gift and prevent people from taking advantage of the energy it required. I was introduced to a special psychic referral manager and began professional phone service.
What happens during a psychic reading?
When I hear my client's voice and begin laying out the cards, I am completely open in that moment to any messages, impressions and feelings I get. I just begin to read. I go into a semi trance. I am conscious of, but not totally aware of the channeled details during a reading. I give the message the client is supposed to hear, or I answer a specific question.
What is your primary tool for divination? What is your specialty?
My primary tool is the Tarot. I think one cannot go wrong with this ancient tool of divination. I use the cards to keep me focused then add the information which comes to me in a variety of ways. I see things, hear things and feel things as if I am ''walking in my clients shoes''.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
No. I leave that talent to advisors who practice it regularly. Those advisors are adept at knowing the difference between spirits who are loving, and those who want to stir things up in a negative direction.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
My readings are a mutually good experience in the majority of cases. People can use metaphysical advice when they are going through a difficult patch. It helps so much when the client is calm, allowing me to help, to heal. It is difficult to read for anyone who is defensive and closed down to what is being said. I know that the Universe has a plan for all of us. Sometimes we can only see a limited part of that plan and need some sixth sense guidance.
