How and when did you first find out about your 'psychic abilities'?
It actually started at age six for me, when I had my first vision. I guess it developed through prophetic dreams of family members. I would say I have been doing various forms of psychic readings, over forty years now. Of course, that's not counting any of my previous past lives!
How was it growing up with these special skills. Are they natural talents or did you study and develop them?
Regrettably for me, my childhood was steeped in Judeo-Christian ideology, and it prevented true spiritual encouragement regarding my special gifts. At times I felt stifled and afraid to expose my visions to my family. My gifts are innate; I remember attempting to suppress a vision of a friend in a car accident. At the time I kept my lips sealed. It was true, unfortunately, that person was involved in an accident later that week. Luckily it was not serious. This was a true lesson for me, I internalized it to mean that the Universe gave me these gifts for a reason, and I should do my very best to honor and respect Universal blessings!
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
Yes, I do. I believe psychic gifts are as natural as someone having an ability to play an instrument, and or develop a mathematical proof for life. Sure, many may learn but few have the ability to excel to greatness. Like any skill set it takes constant diligence to hone and enhance one's gift if it is to be shared with the populace.
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these skills?
The mentality/mindset in which intuitive abilities seem to flourish is one that is open to endless possibilities. However, I believe there is no perfect and only way to receive psychic impressions. I truly believe one should have an awareness of self first, and be able to still thoughts, this is when the lesson and practice begins.
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'.
Well, I notice that many times my psychic abilities are as commonplace as all my other senses, and I don't normally find myself turning them 'off'. That said, I would phrase it, and frame it, in this manner: I am better able to tune and focus my attentions on reading the future. In my meditations and yoga practices, I am able to connect to my inner center, and this allows me to read the vibrations more keenly.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
Well, I was living in New York City at the time. There was a summer street fair, so I had my fortune read. Consequently, I was told I should be doing this, providing readings to many people as well. The reader provided me with his teacher's and instructor's names, and I tutored under them.
What happens during a psychic reading?
I feel that what actually transpires during a psychic consultation is a full exchange of energies. This exchange allows the reader to tap into a higher realm. I also believe that as advancements made in physics, like the String Theory, are put forth, we will become more certain as to the process.
What is your primary tool for divination? What is your specialty?
My two primary tools are Astrology and the Tarot. I find for 'yes' and 'no' inquiries the Tarot is indispensable. For the more intense and more in depth readings, I find Astrology is irrefutable.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
Yes, I can. Communication on every level is an innate gift of mine. I usually receive visions of those individuals who are ready to pass on. Also, my clairaudience and clairvoyance seems to be more enhanced during these readings.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
I am a firm believer that a reading takes two; the reader and the seeker should be fully engaged in order for a genuine and in-depth prognostication to be reached. I feel clients owe it to themselves to be as present as possible. There are no questions too small or too big not to be asked because of fear, so allow yourself to enjoy and receive the insight and peace of mind that is sought.
