How and when did you first find out about your 'psychic abilities'? I now know that I have always had a connection to spirit; however, I was "pushed" into exploring my spiritual skills after experiencing a personal encounter with someone from my past. I was forced to face my deep rooted feelings of unworthiness which stemmed from traumas of my childhood. I found my psychic awakening with a spiritualist church where I felt safe and at home. I wanted to learn more about every aspect of spirituality. I participated in spiritual development classes and surrounded myself with like-minded people who helped me understand and learn how to meditate and go within to find peace.
How was it growing up with these special skills. Are they natural talents or did you study and develop them?
I didn't grow up being aware of my spiritual skills. It wasn't until later in life that I understood what my abilities are.
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
I believe anyone can develop their psychic skills if they choose to. I also believe spirit guides us where we are meant to be and our spiritual path comes to us when we are ready to move forward in our life.
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these skills?First and foremost, you have to quiet the mind meditation and prayer works for me, ask your Guides and Angels to help you and you will be led forward. Live your life being the best that you can be, and keep positive and loving energy inside your heart, mind, body and soul. Be aware of what you let in (food, fluids, people and their stuff, those you cherish and those you find toxic, your inner critic who ambushes you with negative self-talk); What you let out (words, energy, a grateful heart, genuine compassion and warmth); What you dock to (what you care about, your daily habits, on whom and what you spend your time, the quality of what you put in front of you).
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'.
I'm not sure if you can turn them off, but why would you want to? I start and end my day with meditation and prayer and stay connected with my Guides and Angels throughout the day as much as I can. It's a natural part of my daily life.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
I started taking spiritual development classes and doing psychic readings at my church six years ago. I quickly realized that I had a special connection to spirit and I wanted to share my gift helping others in a positive way. I continue to explore new areas of spirituality and participate in development classes. I have read at small and large psychic expos.
What happens during a psychic reading?
When I read for someone I may start by addressing their questions and go from there. I hear, feel or sense the communication that spirit sends to the client through me - I am simply the vessel to relay the message that is given.
What is your primary tool for divination? What is your specialty?
I don't typically use one tool more than another to connect with spirit, but I was drawn to using a pendulum in the early stages of my spiritual development so I always have one with me. I find that I am more connected when I feel the energy of crystals. I also use Angel Oracle Cards during readings when requested or guided to do so.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
Yes, communication from loved ones comes through to help others cope with loss and validate the existence of the spirit world. My Guides help me connect with the energies of the deceased to pass on the messages that are needed.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
I feel blessed to be on this journey and to have the ability to help others on their journey. I am honored to give guidance through readings because I am aware that every person I read for is divinely sent.
Every day is a new and wonderful experience. I am amazed at how spirit guides me through every part of my day, just by me asking for their help - even with the smallest of things, such as finding the best parking space to the more complicated things in life, such as challenges with daily encounters.
